Trends with scatter plots

GlobalHealth Insights has built a scatter explorer to understand the relationship between national wealth and health outcomes. The plot shows life expectancy for each country plotted against Gross National Income (GNI) per capita — a measure of how rich the country is.

You have a choice between linear and logarithmic scales on the x-axis, and can add linear or curved (LOESS) trend lines.

Explore different combinations, then determine which statement best describes the trend.
