Bar plot axes
PublicHealth UK has built an asthma prevalence explorer for a national health report. The dataset comes from the Health Survey for England and shows the percentage of people with and without asthma across age groups.
When we look at a bar plot, we use the relative lengths of each bar to interpret what is happening. If you don't include zero on the y-axis, the relative lengths are distorted and it is easy to be misled.
Compare the two versions of the plot — one that includes zero and one that truncates the axis — then determine which statement is true.
