Star Schemas

In this exercise, you will create a Lakehouse for a restaurant chain, load a fact table and related dimension tables, and explore the resulting star schema. We will then build a model with three tables:

Table	Description
fact_orders	Daily sales order data from all restaurants
dim_menuitems	Information about the different menu items: item name and category
dim_restaurants	Information about the different restaurants: name, city, state

Note: If you get an error about an API rate limit, this usually happens because a previous Fabric task has not completed. You can view active Fabric tasks from the Monitor page (located on the left vertical menu). Canceling old Fabric tasks in the Monitor page will usually resolve the rate limit error.
