Changing data types

It is important to have data in the right data types for our analysis as well as to save memory. When you round a regular decimal number to two decimal places you are reducing the amount of data that is being loaded into the data model which improves the performance of your analysis.

We will also learn how to sort the data using a particular column to answer a question about our products.

If you lost any progress, load the workbook 1_3_data_types.pbix from the Exercises folder on the Desktop and open the Power Query editor.
