Cross-tabulate binary scores

The table() function tallies the number of occurrences of combinations of values across one or more vectors. The orientation of the output table depends on the order that the input vectors are specified. For example in the table

table(currency, country)

        country
currency UK USA
       $  0   1
       £  1   0

the rows are indexed by currency because this appears first in the table() function.

In this chapter, you'll explore an alternative tree-based approach called an isolation forest, which is a fast and robust method of detecting anomalies that measures how easily points can be separated by randomly splitting the data into smaller and smaller regions.
