Collaborate with Copilot
1. Collaborate with Copilot
Hi there! We've been using Copilot to create and understand documents. Now let's tackle something new: collaborating with Copilot.2. Collaborating on a marketing campaign proposal
This time, we drafted a marketing campaign proposal and sent it to three different stakeholders for review. The feedback just came in. The VP of Marketing left comments, the Budget Director added notes, and the Creative Lead weighed in with suggestions. Let's see how Copilot helps us work through all these perspectives efficiently.3. Collaborate with Copilot
Here's our marketing campaign proposal with comments from all three reviewers. Some comments overlap, some conflict. This is real collaboration. First things first - let's get organized. We want to understand the big picture - what are the key themes people are discussing? We go to the top of the document and expand it. Look at this - there's a Discussion tab we haven't used yet. This is really helpful because it summarizes all the comments for us, pulling out the key themes to help us be more efficient in our edits . Here's what we're seeing: Sonia, the Budget Director needs clearer cost breakdowns. Lisa from Creative thinks the messaging feels too generic. And Omar from Marketing wants more customer-focused language. Alright, let's open Copilot Chat to tackle these one by one. Sonia asked for a clearer cost breakdown. Let's see what we've already got in the proposal. We ask Copilot: "What budget information and costs are mentioned in this proposal?" Perfect - Copilot found our cost estimates scattered throughout the document. Now we know exactly what we need to pull together. Let's ask Copilot to reorganize these costs with a clearer breakdown. "Reorganize these costs with a clearer breakdown in bullet points. Don't add anything else, so that I can add it to the document" Much better. The numbers are organized and easy to scan now. We paste the new content into the document. Next, let's ask Copilot to help us respond to the comment: "Can you write a brief comment reply to Sonia Rees based on these changes?" Nice, let's use that. One stakeholder satisfied, and we didn't even have to draft the response ourselves. Now, the next comment thread. In the introduction, Marketing wants customer-focused language, and Creative says the messaging feels generic. Let's see if Copilot can help us address both at once: "How would you rewrite the introduction to satisfy both the comments of Lisa and Omar?" Copilot suggests an introduction that is professional yet personable - exactly the middle ground we need. Let's use this introduction in the document. There we go. All stakeholders should be happy now.4. The Collaborate toolkit
That's collaboration with Copilot. Discussion tab shows us the themes. Chat helps us synthesize perspectives, suggest improvements, and draft replies that acknowledge everyone's input. We're not just checking off comments - we're quickly and strategically improving our work.5. Let's practice!
