Congratulations

1. Congratulations

You did it. You've gone from a blank canvas to a published, responsive app. Let's walk through each chapter and recap the skills you've picked up, then look at where to go from here.

2. Chapter 1: your first canvas app

Chapter 1 got your first canvas app shipping. You created a blank canvas app and dropped in your first controls: labels, buttons, and text inputs. You learned that the formula bar is where the logic lives, with Set storing a value and If showing or hiding a label based on it. A theme styled the whole app in one step, and you had a working sign-in screen.

3. Chapter 2: real data and galleries

Chapter 2 connected the app to real data. You displayed records in a gallery with a custom template, used conditional formatting to highlight important rows, and added Filter and StartsWith so users could find what they needed. You also met delegation, the way Power Apps keeps the app fast even on large datasets.

4. Chapter 3: multi-screen workflow

Chapter 3 was the build chapter. You added a second screen and wired navigation with Navigate and Back, built an Edit form for the full create-and-edit lifecycle, and added validation that refuses bad input. And you made App Checker a habit before every publish.

5. Chapter 4: responsive and shipped

Chapter 4 made the app responsive. You wrapped controls in Layout containers so the same app works on a phone, a tablet, and a laptop, then published it, explored version history as a safety net, and shared it with the right permissions. Save, preview, App Checker, publish, share is the workflow you can repeat for every app you build from here.

6. What's next?

If you want to formalize what you've learned, check out Microsoft's certifications for Power Platform. Keep an eye out for more DataCamp courses on Power Platform too, to go deeper. But before any of that, here's the real next step: pick one small, repetitive task on your own team and build the simplest possible app for it. You'll learn more from one shipped app than from any number of courses.

7. Thank you!

Thanks for spending these four chapters with me. You've gone from a blank screen to a published app connected to real data, and every piece you've learned is something you'll use again. Now go build something that's yours.
