In data we trust
"There are two goals when presenting data: convey your story and establish credibility." -Edward Tufte, statistician and author.
As you complete your visualizations for an upcoming presentation, your co-workers are somewhat unclear about what practices are necessary. They all understand that trust between the audience and the data storyteller is important. However, each has ideas about how shortcuts can be taken to finish the job quickly. They take the time to list how they plan to "efficiently" build credibility, but one really bad idea creeps into the list.
Can you identify the one practice on the list that they named that would be inconsistent with credibility in visual displays?
