Why doesn't a Recurrence trigger fit here?

Naomi suggests: "Just have a flow check SharePoint every five minutes and notify us when someone uploads a new contract document." Theo isn't convinced.

Why is a Recurrence trigger the wrong choice for "notify when a contract document is uploaded"?
