Selecting moving average time windows
We've seen how to make use of the Tableau interface to create a moving average, but what if we need to create our own moving average calculated field to smooth data?
In this exercise we'll replicate the moving average using the WINDOW_AVERAGE()
function and the Market Water Demand GL
field.
Specifically, we'll focus on understanding the size of our windows and how this impacts our interpretation.
