If you'd like to learn more about survival analysis there are a couple of things I suggest looking into. Being able to interpret the model estimates is a valuable skill beyond being able to interpret survival curves. We did not cover statistical inference in this course, so a good next step would be to look at tests and confidence intervals for estimates and survival curves. For this, you will also need to learn a bit more on the maths background. There are some more advanced models that could be interesting to you. Imagine for example the case where you have several competing events that are interesting for you. Let's say you are interested in the time until a patient is released from the hospital or dies in the hospital. Models for this case are called competing risk models. There are also plenty other R packages out there for survival analysis. To find them you can take a look at the CRAN task view on survival analysis.3. Have fun!
I wish you all the best for all your upcoming survival analysis projects and hope you had fun during this course and enjoyed learning about time to event analysis. Bye!Create Your Free Account
