Let's start with some basic arithmetic. Arithmetic is addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division, and these can be done in DAX without any
special functions, just like in Excel.
Lending to borrowers can be risky for banks because sometimes borrowers can't pay back their loans. To mitigate these risks, banks perform calculations to help make lending decisions.
One calculation is finding the borrower's equity on a property. This is how much property value is left after subtracting the loan amount. On a home purchase, this is often the down payment amount.
