Hot or not? Analyzing data with heat maps
Heat maps are an excellent option when visualizing comparisons, often in a matrix format. They contain a lot of detail and, as we will learn in the exercise, work great with a drill-down option, keeping our analysis contained yet allowing for deep-dive checks.
Worth mentioning is that Tableau has two variants of heat maps: the heat map and highlight tables visualization. We will work with the latter as it is more suitable for our purpose, but feel free to check out both via Show Me.
If you lost progress, click on File > Open… in the upper menu and open 1_7_heat_map.twbx
