Slicing data in PivotTables
In this exercise, you will start slicing the data by Sales Month
and Subscription Type
to continue your exploration of the data.
Sometimes there is just too much data to make sense of it all. That's where Slicers can be very helpful in splitting up and filtering data so that it can be explored and compared.
Slicers are essentially just Filters, but they stay visible and therefore can be a bit easier to manage and reference. There are two types of slicers we can add to our PivotTable: the Slicer and the Timeline.
If you've lost progress, open up 1_4_custom_groups.xlsx
