Getting started with PivotTables
In this exercise, you will create your first PivotTable to help you explore the data.
You can complete this exercise either on DataCamp in a browser-based Excel environment (VM) or in Excel with Copilot if you have it. For working locally, you can download all the course datasets from here.
PivotTables are a great way to start exploratory data analysis. They can easily summarize and manipulate data, which makes them a powerful tool. It's also important to make sure everything we do is concise and accurate, so we'll use best practices in naming our fields and formatting the data correctly.
Let's create a PivotTable of Bananas Sales.xlsx to get a better understanding of the data as a whole.
