Customizing and Branding Your Videos in Google Vids
1. Customizing and Branding Your Videos in Google Vids
Want to create videos that more closely reflect your brand or style? Google Vids makes it easy to bring in your organization's fonts and colors with just a few clicks. Ordinarily, creating engaging video content may feel like a daunting task. Google Vids simplifies your video creation process with its diverse template gallery, which offers different options to fit your specific video needs. Templates provide a predesigned structure for your video, saving you time and effort by streamlining your video creation workflow. They're especially useful for quick video creation, maintaining consistency, or finding inspiration. Whether you need to explain a concept, tell a story, or present data, Vids has a template to suit your needs. Simply choose the template that aligns with your video's purpose. Add the predesigned scenes and customize the content with your own text and visuals. This not only saves you time and effort, but also provides creative inspiration by allowing you to explore different video formats and styles. To use a template, start by opening the template gallery by clicking the Templates icon in the right rail, or accessing them as the second option in the vids.new screen. Then you can browse through the different options. Notice each template is labeled based on its use case. For example, you can find a template for a portfolio review, internal updates, and new employee introductions. Once you found the template that meets your needs, click the template to preview its premade scenes. If you like all of them, click the Insert All Scenes button. If you'd prefer to add individual templated scenes, click the scene to insert it into your video timeline. And it'll be inserted at the end of the closest scene to your playhead. Once you've added your template to the scene or scenes to the timeline, you can customize them by replacing the placeholder text with your own. You can also enhance your scenes by dragging and dropping images from the Vids stock media library directly into your template. In addition to templates, you can easily use customized styles to help you visually align your videos with your organization's brand identity or another preferred aesthetic. To change a template to your colors and fonts in just a few clicks, click Customize Styles in the top-level menu, which essentially acts as a find and replace. Once you're in the Customize Style side panel, click on the color or text you want to update. Then add your new color hex code or change the font selection. The changes are applied across your video template. Keep in mind that Vids only supports Google Fonts. As you've now learned, Google Vids provides powerful tools like templates and customized styles that make video creation a breeze, allowing you to produce polished and engaging content that matches your needs and brand in less time than you thought.2.
