Generate a First Draft with Help Me Create

1. Generate a First Draft with Help Me Create

Imagine you're creating a training video for your team. You want to explain a new company policy, and you want to keep it concise and engaging. When starting a new video from scratch, you can use AI to quickly generate a first draft. To use Help Me Create, start by opening a new Vids file. Type "vids.new" in your browser. Next, provide a detailed prompt of your desired video in the prompt box. This prompt will guide the AI in generating a first draft of your video. Include specifics in your prompt, such as the target audience, who is this video for, and the type of video. Should it be an overview, an event recap with key takeaways, a demo, et cetera? When using Help Me Create, you can tag Google Docs or Slides from your drive to give the AI more context for your video outline. To do this, type "@" followed by the file name, and then select the file from the dropdown list. For example, you could say, "Create a video explaining our updated expense report policy to the sales team using @Expense report Q4." Or "Create a recap video sharing key takeaways using @Market Research Report for our fall retail campaign targeting Gen Z." You can also explore a variety of video ideas by clicking the suggested prompts or shuffle for additional inspiration. Once you're satisfied with the description, proceed by clicking Next. Gemini will generate a proposed video outline. You'll see Edit, Add, and Remove buttons that you can use to modify the outline. If the outline isn't working for you, you can revise your prompt and then click Try Again. When you're ready, click Next again, and select a sample design to define the overall look and feel of your video. Then click Next. Select the style you'd like to use, and then click Create a draft video. You might need to wait several seconds for Vids to generate your initial storyboard. Once your storyboard is generated, it will include placeholder, royalty-free media from the Vids stock library, text, suggested scripts per scene, and even an audio track to get you started. Now you can start to personalize your video, easily switching out content, adding voice-overs or recordings, and more.
