Build a draft-response flow

You're a service desk analyst at Contoso, and employees send the IT team the same kinds of tickets all day. Your manager wants the team to spend its time on judgment, not on typing the same opening paragraph forty times a day.

You'll build an agent flow with the backbone every flow shares: something starts it, it takes in data, it does the work, and it hands a result back. Here that means an employee's ticket comes in, an AI prompt drafts a reply, and the draft goes back to the agent for a human to review.

Plan to finish this chapter in one sitting. If you come back after a long break, your session may start fresh with an empty Copilot Studio. Each exercise tells you how to recreate anything it needs. If Copilot Studio looks broken, click Restart session; that keeps your saved work.

Give your agent answers it can back up. You'll read details from the company directory with a connector, attach Contoso's workplace FAQ with Web Search off, and check which answers it can cite. Then build a Workplace Lookup assistant that draws on the FAQ and a meeting rooms spreadsheet, and one that collects equipment loan requests.
