2. What we've learned

We've come a long way. In Chapter 1, you learned to navigate Google Sheets, imported data from different file sources, performed calculations and comparisons between values, and formatted our cells for clarity. In Chapter 2, you used cell references to look up and use cells in formulas, avoiding much of the manual work we had to perform previously. You copied cell references into neighboring cells to further improve our Google Sheets workflow, and performed calculations and comparisons using cell references, which really brought your Google Sheets to life! We closed out the chapter by looking at absolute references, which allowed you to benefit from the strengths of cells references, while being able to control how the references change when copied.

3. What next?

Google Sheets are packed full of extra functionality to allow you to extract even more insights from your data with greater efficiency. The following course will introduce you to the key Google Sheets functionality for data analysis, including built-in functions, which can be used to perform statistical calculations, and look up data from different tables. Try out your new-found knowledge in your own projects. Creating spreadsheets to track personal finances and budgeting, or comparing travel and car prices are both great starting places.

4. Congratulations!

Congratulations, again, and thank you for taking the course. I wish you the best of luck in your data journey!
