Intro to Snowflake Feature Overview
1. Intro to Snowflake Feature Overview
In the first part of the course, we covered Snowflake’s core objects and architecture. Now in the second part of the course, we’re going to take things to the next level and cover some of Snowflake’s fundamental features – cloning, stored procedures, user-defined functions, Snowpark Dataframes, and more. Here’s how I conceptualize this – In the first part of the course, we learned about a bunch of building blocks. Now, we’re going to learn ways to use those building blocks, and along the way, we’ll pick up a few more building blocks. It’s going to be great. And throughout this module, we’ll keep using our beloved Tasty Bytes food truck data for most of these videos. Just think, because of the work we’re doing with this fictitious dataset, more fictitious people might have access to more fictitious mango sticky rice from fictitious food trucks. That’s a lot of satisfied fictitious people. Okay, so here’s what’s coming next. We’ll start things off with a boom and talk about one of my favorite Snowflake features: Time travel. This is so, so cool. When I think about time travel and all the topics we’re going to cover in this module, I’m like: “Oh yeah, this is gonna be awesome.”2. Let's practice!
