2. Chapter 1: Data Connections in Power BI

In the first chapter, you learned about the importance of data to a business and how it can be used for a company's benefit. We introduced the theory related to the processing and flow of on-premise company data. We also learned about the data capabilities related to both Power BI Service and Power BI Desktop, and how you can connect to different sources like web pages and databases. Finally, you were introduced to the data features and properties of Power BI Service.

3. Chapter 2: Databases and More

In the second chapter, you covered the different storage modes in Power BI, and how this can affect our connections with the data. We also looked into other databases that can be used for connecting to Power BI and introduced a connection using the ODBC software.

4. Chapter 3: Further Data Source Settings

In the final chapter, you learned how to create parameters and how they can be utilized in a Power BI report. You also covered the topic of incremental refreshes, and why this feature can be so important for your report building and publishing tasks. Finally, we took a look at the use of M Language in Power Query Editor, and how it can be used along with Advanced Editor to make amendments and fix errors in our data connections.
