Conditional formatting

Now that we've been introduced to the concept of conditional formatting, let's put it to use.

In the following table, you'll find quarterly sales data from the sales reps at your company.

You need to highlight the "Yes"s for the sales reps that met their goals.

Exercise instructions

  • Select the range by higlighting C2 to C14.
  • Go to Format, choose Conditional Formatting, click the drop down under Format cells if, and choose the "Text contains" option.
  • Type Yes into the box and leave the Default Formatting style of a green background.
