Uploading Data to the lakehouse

On the Fabric portal, select the workspace on the left navigation pane.
Click on + New item.
On the New item dialog, scroll to the Store data section and select Lakehouse. Name it TADF_Lakehouse.
Once the lakehouse has been created, click on Get data and select Upload files from the drop-down menu.
Click on the folder icon under Files, browse to the folder Datasets\chapter_2 under Desktop and select the following files:
- ds-starfood-restaurants.csv
- ds-starfood-managers.csv
Click Upload.

To create the warehouse:

On the Fabric portal, select the workspace on the left navigation pane.
Click on + New item.
On the New item dialog, scroll to the Store data section and select Warehouse. Name it TADF_Warehouse.

To create the dataflow:

On the warehouse explorer, select Get data from the menu strip on top of the object explorer, and click on New Dataflow Gen2.
On the Power Query editor, click on the Get data button located on the Home ribbon.
On the Choose data source dialog, click on OneLake data hub, and click on the lakehouse TADF_Lakehouse.
Expand the Files node and select the files ds-starfood-restaurants.csv and ds-starfood-managers.csv.
Click Create.

Publishing the Dataflow

To publish the dataflow to the workspace, click on the Publish button found in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Wait a minute or so until you get a notification that the the dataflow has been published successfully.
To go back to the warehouse, click on the warehouse item TADF_Warehouse from the list of workspace items.
On the Warehouse explorer pane, expand Schemas -> dbo -> Tables and look for the tables ds-starfood-restaurants and ds-starfood-managers.
