Simulate X-Ray sampling
Use the X-Ray sampling simulator to see how the reservoir (fixed_target) and the rate decide which requests in a one-second window are traced.
Start on the default rule (reservoir = 1, rate = 5%) and slide the requests-per-second up and down. Watch the traced count and the effective sampling rate change. Then switch to a custom rule and experiment with larger reservoirs and rates.
Question: Under the default sampling rule, if your service receives 200 requests in a single second, roughly how many of them are traced?
