Common size statement

Instead of a balance sheet, let's build a common size statement for Year 2018 to indicate where assets and equity/liability are placed in the company.

You will use absolute referencing to create percentages for Column F. You should use the $ before the column letter and the column number to make sure the cell does not change when you copy over the formula.

Create the proportions for each row of the Assets section by selecting the 2018 column divided by E11.
Create the proportions for each row of the Equity and Liability sections by selecting the 2018 column divided by E25.
For the Total Liabilities and Equity row, in F25, divide the 2018 column by E25.
Highlight these numbers and click on the % symbol under Format to create percentages.
