Send notification and update the audit trail

Theo at Drumlin Advisory has the renewal sweep almost wired. The Apply to each loop from L2.2 already has the responsible partner's email and the contract link. Two actions left: send the notification, then write back an audit row so tomorrow's run knows this contract has already been handled.

In production that write-back would target the SharePoint list itself - the LastNotifiedDate and NotificationCount columns are there for exactly that. This course's environment doesn't permit tenant writes, so the audit row lives in your own OneDrive instead. The Excel connector's Update a row has the same shape as SharePoint's Update item: a key column, a key value, and the fields to change.

The course VM has a pre-seeded contracts_audit.xlsx workbook on the desktop. The first step uploads it to your OneDrive so Power Automate's Excel connector can reach it. Then build the rest of the flow.
