Use of SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR()

Another very common time intelligence calculation is the year-over-year (YoY) calculation, where a certain measure (e.g. sales) is compared between this year and the previous year. A first step to calculate the YoY of a measure, is to calculate the value of that same measure exactly one year ago. This is where the SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR() function comes into play.
