Power BI: import and join

Power BI is powerful as a stand-alone tool. There is an overlap of tasks you could execute in both Power BI and using Python scripts. The decision on which to choose will come down to the size of the dataset and efficiency (i.e., which process requires more steps).

In the next two exercises, you will import and join two datasets. This first exercise will show you how to do so in Power BI.

The fished dataset contains only a subset of entities we would like to focus on. We will filter the farmed dataset by merging the two.

If you have lost any progress, close any open reports and load 1_2_load_powerbi.pbix from the Exercises folder on the Desktop.
