When to use CAGR

Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) is a useful calculation that is frequently used in the financial sector to analyze potential investments. CAGR will "project" a smooth growth for a stock based on its historical data, and is typically used for both forecasting as well as alternative investment comparisons.
