1. Course Wrap Up
Great job! You've now finished this course on structural equation modeling using the lavaan package.
2. What You've Learned
In this course, you learned how to define and specify models using lavaan's model syntax for latent variables, correlation, and direction prediction. Within that structure, you also learned how to add constraints based on modification indices and how to troubleshoot Heywood cases. We applied that syntax to both one and multifactor latent variable models, and then extended it into hierarchical models. Lastly, you learned how to create diagrams of your models that help visualize model structure and results using the semPlot package.
3. Congratulations!
With these skills, you can now design your own models to analyze the structure of a questionnaire or assess the predictive relationship between multiple variables. Good luck!
