Use Time Travel to Query Historical Data

Claro's operations team has raised an incident: a batch job that ran overnight deleted a set of repayment records from the REPAYMENTS table. Before the team decides whether to restore the data, they need to know exactly how many rows were affected. As the data engineer on call, you'll simulate the deletion in your session environment and use Snowflake's Time Travel feature to audit the impact — without touching the current table state. You'll also practise recovering a dropped table using UNDROP, completing the full picture of Time Travel-based recovery. Time Travel retention is edition-dependent: Standard provides 1 day of history, Enterprise supports up to 90 days. The window is also configurable per object down to 0 if reducing storage costs is a priority.
