Stateless apps do not save any state or context on data when used.

Stateless apps can be deployed on Kubernetes using "Deployments".

First you describe your Deployment with a proper Manifest, then you apply the manifest using a command like `kubectl apply ...`

Querying a search engine is not a good example for a stateless app: search engines need previous queries to deliver what you are searching for. 

Databases like PostgreSQL or SQLite are good examples of stateless applications. 

You deploy your stateless app using a command like `kubectl apply ...`. Later, you create a Manifest for just for documentation.
