In this final module of this course, we cover application maintenance and monitoring. Maintenance is primarily concerned with how updates are made to running applications, the different strategies available, and how different deployment platforms support them. For monitoring, I discuss this vital area for cloud-native applications from two perspectives. First, I will talk about the cost perspective to make sure that resources are being best provisioned against demand. After all, why should you pay for resources that you don't need? Second, I will discuss how to implement monitoring and observability to determine and alert on the health of services and applications using Cloud Monitoring and Dashboards. This will also allow us to define Uptime Checks and use Cloud Monitoring Alerts to identify service outages. Let's get started.2. Let's practice!
