Congratulations!

1. Congratulations!

Congratulations! You've completed Financial Analysis in Power BI, and you've come a long way. Let me be the first to say I'm proud of you! I know this journey was not easy, and took some hours of dedication.

2. Chapter 1: Financial dashboards

In chapter one, you reviewed the basics about dashboards and learned financial concepts. You applied the Objectives and key results frame work in goal setting for your dashboards. You learned how to use artificial intelligence to make your dashboards more impactful with just a few clicks, and even created a forecast using the analytics pane.

3. Chapter 2: Scenarios and sensitivity analysis

In chapter two, you used what-if parameters to run scenario analysis. You stress-tested sales data, and created forecasts with DAX, which is pretty impressive. You also created a scenario analysis matrix to show the impact of various input variables.

4. Chapter 3: Time value of money

In chapter three, you learned about the time value of money and how compounding is the "eighth wonder of the world". You performed future value and present value calculations by hand, and with DAX. And you also used the future value function to create a straight-line forecast.

5. Chapter 4: Capital budgeting

Finally, in chapter four you brought all your skills together to perform capital budgeting analysis and understand it's importance in financial analysis. You use net present value, profitability index, internal rate of return, and payback period to make sound investment decisions. You explored the impact of discount rates on net present value, and used intermediate DAX skills to create a payback period measure. And you did all of this while creating an informative dashboard that could be shared with your peers.

6. Best of luck!

I hope you enjoyed learning these things with me, and I sincerely wish you the best of luck on your learning journey, wherever it takes you. Until next time!
