1. Congratulations
Congratulations! You've finished this practice course on time series data manipulation in R.
By now, you've mastered the introductory and advanced features of xts and zoo, including encoding data to xts, manipulating the periodicity and scope of your data, generating complex indicators, and plotting your data over time.
2. Time series data
You've also explored four different time series datasets, including monthly flight data, daily weather data, monthly and quarterly economic data, and data on the schedule and scores of professional sports games.
These diverse datasets represent only a tiny portion of possible time series data.
As we've seen, a variety of familiar types of data - from weather to sports scores - occur naturally in time series format. Other common time series data include portfolio returns, commodity prices, or user data.
3. Congratulations!
As you move forward with your training, you'll find that the ability to manipulate time series data is a critical skill for all aspiring data scientists. Thanks for taking this course and good luck with your R education!
