This is the end of our DataCamp course on SQL Server triggers. I has been a fascinating journey, and I'm confident you've learned a lot of things.

2. Summary

We started by discussing what a trigger is. Then we explored how DML triggers are used and the alternatives that exist. We compared AFTER triggers and INSTEAD OF triggers and examined the use cases for each, and we discussed the differences between DML, DDL, and logon triggers. Next, we learned that triggers also have their limitations, and we saw how to overcome these limitations by using triggers correctly. Finally, we analyzed the need for managing triggers. Managing implies removing unused triggers and optimizing existing ones after a proper investigation.
