Congratulations!

1. Congratulations!

Congratulations! You've made to the end. What a journey it's been.

2. What you've done

We started by turning audio files into soundwaves using Python and NumPy. Then we transcribed speech into text using the speechrecognition library and experienced some of the challenges with speech recognition like different speakers and languages. You then learned how to manipulate and prepare audio files for transcription using PyDub. Finally, you built a proof of concept speech processing pipeline with sentiment analysis using NLTK, named entity recognition using spaCy and text classification using sklearn.

3. What next?

If you're after more, I'd suggest you try using what you've learned to build a speech processing app of your own. We weren't able to use speechrecognition's Microphone class in the DataCamp classroom but you could try use it locally.

4. One last transcription

Before you go, there's one more audio file to transcribe. It's called congraulations dot wav. Let's see what it says. Well, I couldn't have said it better. You've just taken the first steps to becoming a spoken language processing engineer. You should be proud.

5. Keep learning!

All the best with your learning journey. I hope you enjoyed this course, it's been a pleasure.
