Exercise

# Including site as a fixed effect

Using the `orchids`

data set, your new research question is:

"How does relative humidity influence the abundance of orchids?"

You will start by using a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) to examine this relationship, with `site`

included as a factor. In this instance, you'll be using the simplest form of a GLM, with `family = "gaussian"`

, which is equivalent to a normal linear model. Since you are only interested in how site influences the intercept, you will not include an interaction between `humidity`

and `site`

.

Note that the `orchids`

data set has been preloaded.

Instructions

**100 XP**

- Use a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) with a Gaussian distribution to describe the relationship between
`humidity`

and`abundance`

, with`site`

included as a factor. - Print the model coefficients.
