Counting the number of parameters

Deep learning models are famous for having a lot of parameters. With more parameters comes more computational complexity and longer training times, and a deep learning practitioner must know how many parameters their model has.

In this exercise, you'll first calculate the number of parameters manually. Then, you'll verify your result using the .numel() method.

Current Exercise

To train a neural network in PyTorch, you will first need to understand additional components, such as activation and loss functions. You will then realize that training a network requires minimizing that loss function, which is done by calculating gradients. You will learn how to use these gradients to update your model's parameters.
