Chi-squared Goodness of Fit I
The reason why you expected that the students would like the part advert is because of a statistic you had heard. You were told that most college students go to parties regularly (60%), some go to parties occasionally (30%) and a few never go to parties (10%).
To test whether this is indeed true, you decide sample 100 college students, as about their party-going habits and run a Chi-squared goodness-of-fit test on their answers.
Two data tables are saved in your console - x
and z
. One contains your expected frequencies and one is your observed frequencies. Have a look at both by entering z
and x
into your console.
