Appending files

Sometimes, you may receive data sets split into several separate files. A common example is when the data is split by year to reduce bandwidth costs or keep file sizes smaller. Being able to combine these datasets together allows you to visualize data across those different datasets and present a single, consistent table for business users.

You've just received an email from a colleague, with three datasets attached. He was about to append them using Excel, but luckily, you know how to do this in a flash using Power Query, so you can repeat the process later when the three datasets get updated.

If you have lost any progress, close any open reports and load 2_2_combine_tables.pbix from the Exercises folder on the desktop.
