Motivating a lesson
Providing the motivation, or the "why", is important for learning, as it provides learners with a framework for situations in which they can apply the knowledge and skills learned in a course in the real-world. Furthermore, it entices learners to continue learning by contextualizing the scenarios where they will be able to apply their knowledge.
Imagine you're working on the script for a lesson that teaches learners how to use and create histograms in a data visualization chapter. Review the following four motivational messages you could use to begin your lesson.
Which message provides the best motivation for a lesson on histograms?
