What to avoid in interactive exercises

Videos give you a chance to verbally speak to your students, but you can certainly communicate with students in the interactive exercises to further engage with students. Using interesting, real-life examples, thoughtful hints that feel conversational, and success messages that synthesize the exercise to help the student understand the material are some of the devices you can use to maximize engagement.
